The Indiana Fever have made a significant comeback this season, securing a playoff spot for the first time since 2016. This resurgence can largely be attributed to the exceptional performance of rookie Caitlin Clark. Clark has been a standout player, setting numerous records and playing a pivotal role in the team’s success. On Monday’s edition of Locked On Women’s Basketball, Talia Goodman is joined by Indiana Fever reporter Tony East to talk Clark’s record-breaking season and preview the Fever’s playoff appearance.

It’s not just Clark propelling the Fever and, as Tony shares: “[Fever guard] Kelsey Mitchell hasn’t missed a shot since the middle of June it feels like — little things keep adding, whether it’s her handle, whether it’s her partnership with other guards, whether it’s how to use her bigs. All of a sudden she knows that [Fever teammate] Lexie Hull can’t miss. She just keeps getting better and better.”

This season’s achievement is a notable turnaround for the Indiana Fever, reflecting a significant improvement from the previous several seasons. As the Fever continue their playoff journey, their combination of seasoned and rookie talent will be crucial in the quest to make a deep playoff run.
